The lack of forgiveness makes your heart bitter, poisons your spirit with resentment, gives birth to depression, makes you vulnerable to serious physical ailments and even leads to thoughts of death.
That is why Jesus tells Peter that he always has to forgive, because otherwise he will harm himself.
The same is true for you. Decide to forgive even if you don’t feel it. Bless those who hurt you. You will recover your joy, your strength will return, you will receive God’s forgiveness for your own shortcomings, and the blessing of Heaven will come to you.
Pray like this: Father God, today I choose to forgive those who have hurt me so much in the same way that You forgive me. I shed all resentment and desire for revenge. I ask You to wipe away all bitterness from my heart, and I thank You for it in the name of Jesus! Amen!
Have a blessed day!
