James 1:5-8 (NLT)
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.

Whenever you are embracing a very big dream or facing an overpowering challenge, the first thing to do is to go to God with sincere and unwavering faith. That is the way to please God and find answers that work.
Looking to other options quenches faith every time and will cause you to be double-minded––up one day and down the next. You will not receive anything from God that way.
Pray like this: Father God, I recognize that many times I have given rise to doubt, and I have not trusted You. Forgive my lack of faith. I now make the decision to trust in You and wait on You just as a child trusts in his parents. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
