Genesis 26 (NLT)
A severe famine now struck the land, as had happened before in Abraham’s time. So Isaac moved to Gerar, where Abimelech, king of the Philistines, lived. The Lord appeared to Isaac and said, “Do not go down to Egypt, but do as I tell you…and I will be with you and bless you…When Isaac planted his crops that year, he harvested a hundred times more grain than he planted, for the Lord blessed him. He became a very rich man, and his wealth continued to grow.

Wherever economic or political crises arise that impact our lifestyle or our income, we rush to criticize the government and demonstrate against our employers. We think about closing down our businesses, bailing out and even moving somewhere else. Then as a last option, we consider seeking God when we should have made it our first step.
In this passage, God spoke to Isaac and said, “Don’t bail out. Stay here and I will bless you.“ What He said to him He also says to you: “Hang in there. Keep sowing where you are, because only then can I give you the wisdom and favor to overcome the difficult of obstacles you are facing, and when I do, your harvest will be abundant!”
God is interested in your circumstances, and may have a solution for you as well as for others if you, like Isaac, are listening for His voice.
Pray this way: Father God, I recognize my limitations and therefore, according to Your Word, I seek Your help and I am listening for Your voice so that I receive the Your wisdom and direction to prosper no matter what circumstance, season or place I am in. I’m asking you in the name of Jesus, Amen!
Have a blessed day!
