Proverbs 22:29 (NLT)
Do you see any truly competent workers? They will serve kings rather than working for ordinary people.

David was a simple sheep herder, but he was diligent to perfect his skills with the very basic tools and weapons at his disposal. It wasn’t long before those skills served to defeat Goliath and put him in the service of King Saul.
God has put talents and gifts in your life which, if you diligently use and perfect them, will give you confidence in difficult circumstances, favor with others and lead you to extraordinary resources.
You may want to pray like this: Father God, thank You for this exhortation to perfect and develop the gifts that you have put into my life. Help me to be diligent to get the best out of them so that I can honor You and bless others. I ask you in the name of Jesus, Amen!
Have a blessed day!
