Desperation

Desperation

Genesis 21:15-19 (NLT)

When the water was gone, she put the boy in the shade of a bush. Then she went and sat down by herself about a hundred yards away. “I don’t want to watch the boy die,” she said, as she burst into tears. But God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven, “Hagar, what’s wrong? Do not be afraid! God has heard the boy crying as he lies there. Go to him and comfort him, for I will make a great nation from his descendants.” Then God opened Hagar’s eyes, and she saw a well full of water. She quickly filled her water container and gave the boy a drink.

Hagar had run out of water she had been given in the desert and did not want to see her son die. The enormity of the physical problem blinded her spiritually and prevented her from seeing that there was water nearby.

The same well of blessing is also very close to you. If you do not see it, look for God and your eyes will be open to find the solution. Everything that is dry and that seems to be dead will recover life: your family, your business and even the neighborhood and city where you live.

Pray like this: Lord, by Your word I receive faith, and my eyes and my spiritual ears open up now to find the promised blessings that are nearby me. I receive it in the name of Jesus, Amen!

Have a blessed day!
