John 1:9-12 (NLT)
The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.

In the midst of deep crisis where it seems that darkness is prevailing around the world, we need to remember that the Light of the world came in the form of flesh and blood to give us the privilege of being His children and to walk in the power of His Light.
Pray like this: Father God, I believe that Jesus came to bring light to a world in steeped in darkness. I receive this Light that my life needs so much. Make me Your son as I prepare to celebrate His birth. In the Name of Jesus, Amen!
