1 Samuel 22:1-2 (NLT)
So David left Gath and escaped to the cave of Adullam. Soon his brothers and all his other relatives joined him there. Then others began coming—men who were in trouble or in debt or who were just discontented—until David was the captain of about 400 men.

David (who later became the famous king of Israel), although he was being unjustly persecuted and going through many hardships, was sensitive to the problems of those who were mourning, indebted, bitter, and he trained them to face the future with hope.
You may feel like those 400 soldiers of David: afflicted, indebted, desperate, locked in a “cave.” But if your captain is Jesus, the circumstance you are facing today will become the marker of the end of one stage of your life and the beginning of something new and overpowering. You will not remain in the cave, but you will embark on the path that brings you to light and victory.
Pray like this: Lord, help me to always keep my eyes on the path of salvation and hope. Teach me to choose the right thing and to lead others to the path of hope that leads to success. There is no doubt that in the Name of Jesus everything is possible. Amen!
Have a blessed day!
