Matthew 6:25-27 (NLT)
“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?”

This was one of Jesus’ first teachings to his followers, known as “The Sermon on the Mount,” where he reminds us of the manner in which God takes care of us.
Jesus reflects on how useless it is to worry about material things. He gives as an example how God cares for the birds, and He concludes by saying that He will surely take care of you to a much greater extent.
Therefore, instead of drowning yourself in your problems, trust in the Lord and dedicate time to the more importance things of life: God, love, friendship, and helping others.
Pray like this: Lord, I put my worries in Your hands, believing that You will provide for everything I need. I choose this day to pay attention to the important things––the ones that remain forever. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
Have a blessed day!
