Beyond Government Aid

Beyond Government Aid

Psalm 68:5-6 (NLT)

Father to the fatherless, defender of widows—this is God, whose dwelling is holy. God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy. But he makes the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.

Government aid and social assistance programs as we know them did not exist at the time this Psalm was written. In that sense, the people were left largely unprotected. But here, God reminds His people––and all people, for that matter––that the orphan has in Him a Father; the widow, a Defender; the lonely, a Family; and the depressed, anguished and bitter, a Liberator Who is fully capable of returning their joy.

Hold on to these promises and pass them on to those who are going through these kinds of situations. God always complies and His resources do not run out!

Pray like this: Father God, thank You for these precious promises. They are a guarantee of blessing for all those who need it. I receive them and share them others confidently because of who You are. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Have a blessed day!
