Ephesians 4:26-27 (NLT)
And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.

It is very normal and almost inevitable, that when faced with an injustice, an offense or a betrayal, you get angry. But you can keep anger from controlling you and prevent it from taking root in your heart until it makes your life bitter.
That is precisely what this word from the Word of God is exhorting. Only go to bed after you have forgiven and blessed the one who has offended you. Put your pride aside and give the devil no room to destroy your life and undermine even your deepest relationships.
Pray like this: Father God, thank You for this exhortation. I treasure it in my heart to guard my heart. Today, help me to forgive and bless those who hurt me, just as You forgive me of all my sins and shortcomings. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
Have a blessed day!
