Matthew 5:3 (NLT)
God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.

A poor person is the one who lacks something: material goods, motivation, relationships, or spiritual strength. Jesus is speaking here precisely about this last kind: spiritual poverty.
How important it is to recognize that being rich in every other area of your life cannot fill the spiritual void you have within.
The mere fact you are reading these words indicates that you recognize your need for God. Open your heart and allow Him to fill that emptiness now. When you do, you will also begin to enjoy knowing that you are part of His Kingdom, not only Heaven later on, but here, now, on earth, where you can experience His blessings in your life day by day.
Pray like this: Father God, I recognize that I am poor in spirit and that I need Your help. I open my heart to You so that Your presence may fill me through and through. I give You my life, I want to be part of Your Kingdom and know your blessing in everything I put my hands to do. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
Have a blessed day!!
