Psalm 23:1-6 (NLT)
The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley,[a]
I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.

Before being king, David had been a shepherd, and he knew that those weak animals trusted him to give them everything they needed to live and to be cared for and protected from danger.
At the beginning of each day, trust God completely just like those sheep trusted David. Believe that God will give you everything you need––that He will renew your strength, that He will lead you on righteous paths, that He will heal your wounds and protect you from all evil.
Put this Psalm to memory. It will be daily nourishment to keep you moving forward.
Pray like this: Father God, today I declare that You are my Shepherd and nothing will be lacking to me. You will guide me on safe secure paths and keep my life from all evil. Thank You! In the name of Jesus, Amen!
