James 2:18-20 (NLT)
Now someone may argue, “Some people have faith; others have good deeds.” But I say, “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.” You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. How foolish! Can’t you see that faith without good deeds is useless?

Believing that there is a God is the beginning of faith. But it is not enough, because as you just read, even the demons of hell believe and they tremble.
Believing IN God is the key because it requires that you do something with your faith every day. Faith is fed by hearing the Word of God. It grows when you put it into action. It causes your language to be different. Things you once thought impossible you now begin declare possible.
This kind of faith is what moves the hand of God. It causes a sick person to receive healing, a family to be restored, a job to be reinstated. The heavens open up and on earth everything changes.
Pray like this: Father God, thank You for that gift from heaven called faith. I want to grow––to accelerate in it––so that everything changes around me. Give me audacity to put your Word into action today like never before. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
