John 15:1-4 (NLT)
“I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.”

Begin this year by making a foundational decision to abide with Jesus like a branch connected to the vine, so that your life will be abundantly fruitful throughout the new year.
Let the Father prune everything that compromises your spirit, your soul and your body and restrains Him from bestowing His best blessings to you. Allow Him to help you cut off negative relationships that are harming you and poisoning your heart. Such pruning results in the best harvest and most savory fruit of the vine.
You may want to pray like this: Father God, I choose to begin the year by taking hold of Your hand more firmly, to abide in You from day to day, and to allow You to work in me to remove everything that is harmful from my life. I desire that my life be abundant, rich and deeply rooted in You so that I can bring You honor and glory. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
Have a blessed day!
